Scooter’s Lawn Care was founded in 2014 by Jacob Godar in Springfield, Illinois.
From its conception, it was Jacob’s dream: to combine his entrepreneurial goals with an industry he already knew and loved, while paying tribute to a dear friend who had affectionately nicknamed him “Scooter Boy.”
Scooter’s offers high quality lawn care, landscaping, low-voltage lighting, and reliable pool maintenance in Cape Coral, Florida, as well as landscaping and lighting in surrounding SWFL cities.
We have a strong team and are fully committed to redefining the industry as a whole with exceptionally high service standards and our 100% satisfaction guarantee.

We are committed to consistently giving back to the communities we serve.
Our company gives away Thanksgiving turkeys and Christmas hams to deserving people and families each year, this year all going to the families served by Valerie’s House in Fort Myers.
We host service giveaways on our social media throughout the year – like free property clean ups, landscape plantings, and our most popular: our Annual Year of Free Lawn Care Giveaway.
We regularly seek out opportunities to raise funds for charities through community event participation & sponsorships (like Food Truck Wars and EHL Touch-a-Truck) and our own Christmas toy drive.
In recognition, CEO Jacob Godar was named in 2019’s Springfield Business Journal’s Forty Under 40.
Our company was voted “Best Lawn Care & Landscaping Company” (2022 – 2023) in The State Journal-Register’s Readers’ Choice Awards.
